Welcome to the new home of Nolan Maren’s novels. Everything about the books is here in one place: every title, the reading order for the series, free opening chapters, and an easy way to hear about new releases.
Two ways in
The Penrose Street Stories are set in Aberly, Pennsylvania, a slate town at the foot of Blue Mountain. Four novels are out now, beginning with The Last Stop on Mill Row. Each book belongs to one person’s year and stands on its own, but reading them in order lets the town fill in around you. The series guide has the full reading order.
The standalone novels are homecomings: What June Kept (a house above a Maine harbor), One More August (a Vermont lake camp), The Life She Put Away (a second act in Cincinnati), and The Parts We Left Out (two sisters and a Hudson Valley house).
